PICU Day 2

Haven and Zane have never really seen Henley in the hospital so this was new territory for them. Last time Henley had surgery, they flew up the following week after she was already out of the hospital.

Yes, we snuck entirely too many people into the ICU and have picture proof 🫣. We are allowed two people only (but 5 is close, right?) It was good for Henley to see them and by far the most she had smiled all day. Haven was super sweet with her little sis. Zane literally said “why does she have that huge bandage on the back of her head?” 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Haven & Zane have been hanging out with their Grandmommie/Papa and Uncle Erik for the last couple days and having some fun. Henley was finally up for seeing them and so they came for a bit and told us about all the characters they have encountered on the New York subways which was quite entertaining. While laughing hurts Henley, it was still good medicine for the soul.

We are trying to ween Henley off the IV narcotics so that she can get out of the ICU, but we aren’t there yet. Maybe tomorrow. 🤞
